I received mine today and I'm pleasantly surprised! It's always a bit of a risk ordering an attire that's tailored to your measurements over the internet, since you don't have the professional tailor on location taking them. But Jameel put in a lot of effort deriving the most screen-accurate version you could find anywhere. The fit is a dozen times better than the cheap, officially-licensed jacket - as is the material and build quality. When I unpacked the jacket, I could see immediately that a professional and experienced tailor was at work. Those who followed in twitter could even see the prototyping progress with a lot of effort to getting little details such as the perforation patterns super screen-accurate. And even Picard's production designer provided him with the color used in the production. So you won't end up with oversaturated division colors like in many cosplay stores that can easily make a garment look like a cheap halloween costume.
This one is high-quality and absolutely suitable for use as a normal jacket. People who are not Trekkies wouldn't even notice it's a cosplay, but just a futuristic-looking leather jacket.
The lining is a bit too warm if you plan to use it at cons (prepare to sweat), but that comes at the benefit of being useful as an actual outdoor jacket that'll keep you warm. The only slight criticism I would have is that I think the sleeves could be mounted a bit more in a suit style to have more elegant shoulders. But that's criticism on an already very high level.
I’ve ordered cosplay outfits for nearly 20 years from many different companies, and I must say the Command style version of this Picard season 3 jacket is by *far* the best uniform I’ve ever gotten.
The accuracy and respect to detail is remarkable. At the same time, the quality of the fabric and manufacture are equal to that of any jacket I’d expect to buy in a major department store. It is the perfect combination of an every day wearable jacket with a screen accurate Star Trek uniform design.. And if all that wasn’t enough, during the manufacture Excellent Leather’s customer support was top notch, emailing me on a weekly basis with updates on the process as well as additional questions that insured my jacket was rendered to personalized tailor made precision.

Top quality materials and work to to bottom here. There are many companies offering similar products but I'm pretty confident stating that while the price here is high you won't find anything better quality wise.
I've ordered a few times with Excellent Leather, and honestly? Each time, they get more and more accurate in details and designs...If you have a film jacket that you'd like, they'll NAIL it...This one, the Picard leather jacket used in season 3 took a LOT of work, and back and forth arguing on the RPF as well to really get closer to the look, but the team here listened and absorbed ALL the details and really hit the final design and colours for this jacket...It's perfect. Fit wise, as always the team listen to you and will fit you spot on...100% I'd recommend them to anyone in need of a jacket....Brilliant.

I received my Science Division version of this jacket today and I have to say it is phenomenal. As someone who has worked in leather jackets for many years, the quality and workmanship is just excellent. This is definitely wearable as a day-to-day jacket. The attention to detail is dead on and probably the closest to the real thing you can get!
