As someone who has worked in leather jackets for many years, the quality and workmanship is just excellent. This is definitely wearable as a day-to-day jacket. The attention to detail is dead on and probably the closest to the real thing you can get!

I received mine today and I’m pleasantly surprised! It’s always a bit of a risk ordering an attire that’s tailored to your measurements over the internet, since you don’t have the professional tailor on location taking them. But Jameel put in a lot of effort deriving the most screen-accurate version you could find anywhere. The fit is a dozen times better than the cheap, officially-licensed jacket – as is the material and build quality. When I unpacked the jacket, I could see immediately that a professional and experienced tailor was at work. Those who followed in twitter could even see the prototyping progress with a lot of effort to getting little details such as the perforation patterns super screen-accurate. And even Picard’s production designer provided him with the color used in the production.

I’ve ordered cosplay outfits for nearly 20 years from many different companies, and I must say the Command style version of this Picard season 3 jacket is by *far* the best uniform I’ve ever gotten. The accuracy and respect to detail is remarkable. At the same time, the quality of the fabric and manufacture are equal to that of any jacket I’d expect to buy in a major department store. It is the perfect combination of an every day wearable jacket with a screen accurate Star Trek uniform design.. And if all that wasn’t enough, during the manufacture Excellent Leather’s customer support was top notch, emailing me on a weekly basis with updates on the process as well as additional questions that insured my jacket was rendered to personalized tailor made precision. Worth every penny!

So you won’t end up with oversaturated division colors like in many cosplay stores that can easily make a garment look like a cheap halloween costume. This one is high-quality and absolutely suitable for use as a normal jacket. People who are not Trekkies wouldn’t even notice it’s a cosplay, but just a futuristic-looking leather jacket. The lining is a bit too warm if you plan to use it at cons (prepare to sweat), but that comes at the benefit of being useful as an actual outdoor jacket that’ll keep you warm. The only slight criticism I would have is that I think the sleeves could be mounted a bit more in a suit style to have more elegant shoulders. But that’s criticism on an already very high level.

I’ve ordered a few times with Excellent Leather, and honestly? Each time, they get more and more accurate in details and designs…If you have a film jacket that you’d like, they’ll NAIL it…This one, the Picard leather jacket used in season 3 took a LOT of work, and back and forth arguing on the RPF as well to really get closer to the look, but the team here listened and absorbed ALL the details and really hit the final design and colours for this jacket…It’s perfect. Fit wise, as always the team listen to you and will fit you spot on…100% I’d recommend them to anyone in need of a jacket….Brilliant.

Throughout the process ELM were very helpful and accommodating. Friendly and professional. The turn around time was exceptional and delivery was very easy and quick. The quality of the coat is fantastic. The fabric used does not only look screen accurate but is also great quality. The garment feels like a high end piece not just a cosplay item. The fit is pretty good. The body and length is perfect. The arms and shoulders are a little tight, but I encounter this problem with most coats. I might take the lining out the arms to make it fit a little better or try soaking them in cold water and stretching. The look of the coat doesn’t look to tight, just the feel. The pattern of the coat is fantastic. It hangs like the screen coat and all the details are there. The only slight inaccuracies I can see is that the reinforced shoulder panels sit a bit further back than the screen coat, but this could be to my shoulders been a little too big for the coat. All in all, from my end it has been a great experience and I would highly recommend to everyone. Despite the slight detail of the shoulders and fit I’m still giving 5 stars as for the price and compared to the standards of other similarly priced company’s, it is exceptional!

Worked closely with Jameel on creating and customizing a Layer Cake jacket for me. The result is the most screen accurate version of this jacket I’ve ever seen. Very cool to have something that looks and fits so true to the film! I also appreciate the direct contact with this seller who checked in with me and kept me informed about the progress of the work and status of my order every step of the way. If you’d like to own a Layer Cake jacket worthy of the movie, I’m convinced you’re not going to come any closer to the original than this!

First of all Jameel did an amazing job. I got in contact through the RPF with him. He went above and beyond to make the jacket incredibly screen accurate – even made two versions for me, one with cowhide the other with sheepskin. I went with the cowhide made to measure. He listened to any reasonable input and was prompt with all of my questions. Shipping and delivery were lightning-fast, too. Only downside was that the jacket wasn’t cleaned before shipping so i had to clean it myself because i had stains all over my t-shirt when first wearing the jacket. The leather is high quality though and feels amazing. ESL is a quality company and Jameel is awesome. I will probably buy a jacket from ESL again.

Perfect. The original jacket was described by the show costumer as a piece that had “everything PLUS the kitchen sink” when they made it. This replica jacket absolutely nails that statement, the cut, form and function are dead on to the series, all the way down to the correct “toggle” style zippers. All around beautiful piece. Just received mine here in Tokyo, and my word, this is perfect.. easy to wear, light leather, but the lining adds to it for a decent light winter vest too, layered with a shirt or hoodie.. inside pocket, and four pockets on the front, buttons and press studs on the collar and pocket flaps, and the back is amazing… It NAILED the look from the film.. and I’m very proud to have one! I managed to get one with the last of his laminated fabric (for now), I have to say it’s not only the nicest jacket I own, it’s also as a serious blade runner collector, one of the best Officer K jacket replicas ever made. It’s really the closest anyone has ever seen. The best part, ELS are working hard to make it even better all the time.
